Project’s requirements comprise the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

Our services included socio-economic survey and environmental study, Field investigation, data collection and analysis, Land use planning and mapping, Preliminary resettlement planning and cost evaluation, water quality, aquatic ecology and fishery survey, wildlife habitats and forest survey, land use survey and consultation workshops with village, district level, topographical survey/mapping scale 1:2,000, geological investigation, and hydrological study in the areas of upstream and down stream of Nam Ngon river. Report writing on environmental and socio-economic study.

The project’s requirements comprise update of EIA study, socio-economic study, topographic survey, geologic investigation, and hydrographic study.

Our services included the establishment of reference bench marks, survey closing traverses, running the elevations, detailed topographic survey and provision of maps as required scales for 3 different special areas, (about 5 km2) in which located in the dam area as defined by the Client.

Xe Katam Hydroelectric Power Project, Champasak Province.

15 June 2005 to January 2007

The project’s requirements comprise of conducting selected technical studies to support the Initial Environment Examination (IEE) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Xe katam Hydroelectric Power Project.

(IEE): Our services included of management and coordination the portions of the work to meet due dates for interim work products to be delivered to the project developer as well as the overall schedule for completing the studies. We collected relevant data to enable more in – depth evaluation of Initial Environment Examination for the Xe katam Hydroelectric Power Project in order to assess the impacts on the project and elaborate the appropriated mitigation measures. We conducted the necessary detailed environmental studies and preparation of an Initial Environment Examination Environmental Report for the proposed Project. This will include the following types of information.

(EIA): In the planning, designing, development and implementation of the Xekatam Hydroelectric Power Project, direct, indirect and cumulative negative impacts on the environment (both natural and socio-economic components) shall be taken into account over a suitable timeframe. These impacts shall be evaluated and appropriate mitigation and compensation measures shall be taken, as well as a formal environmental management plan created through the preparation of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). In the work of this EIA, impacts on air, water, soil, and ecosystems; land use patterns and resettlement; ethnicity and indigenous people; cultural heritage and archaeological resources; gender; and, health conditions shall be examined.

Nam Ngiep Hydroelectric Power Project

Borikan District, Bolikhamxay Province.; Hom District, Vientiane Province and Thathom District, Xiengkhuang Province.

From January 2006 to February 2008

(Interval time sections)

Our services included the establishment of reference bench marks by GPS, long distant leveling (195 km), survey closing traverses, detailed topographic survey, Longitudinal and 70 cross-sections survey of (40 km) along river and rivers bank scale 1:2000, (total area approximately 800 ha, which divided into 3 sites).Survey and marked the wooden pegs at every 5 m interval for seismic reflection line test. To mark the full surface level (FSL) of elevation 320 with the concrete bacons for the 8 villages. Blasting and assist the specialist for the seismic test and record. Improvement of 25 km access road to the dam site. Set up a water staff gauge station. To coordinate and supply of lifting boring machine with Army helicopter and etc.

Nam Lik 1-2 Hydroelectric Power Project, Vientiane Province.

03 November 2006 to 15 January 2007

The project’s requirements comprise topographical survey and mapping scale 1: 2,500.

Our services included the establishment of reference bench marks (2 GPS Points), survey closing traverses, running the elevations, detailed topographic survey and mapping as followings:

             I.    Topographic Survey for Main Structure Area.

a.   Main dam Area ( 2,1 km² ),

b.   Saddle dam Area ( 1,7 km² ),

 

           II.     Longitudinal and Cross-Sections Survey of river.

a.   One Longitudinal Section ( 750 m ),

b.   Three Cross-Section Approx. ( 900 m ),

 

        III.      Topographic survey for borrow area and quarry

 -   Survey area is about 2 km² the scale is 1:2000

 

        IV.      Cooperation survey for geology.

 -   Geological cross section survey is about 20 km

 -  Setting out for about 1100 of geological and investigation points.

  

          V.      Desk Work; Data Entry, Draft and final Reports.
